Have you ever wanted to learn how to train service dogs? The FSDS is opening up our program to the community. Interested individuals, ages high school and older, who would like to acquire marketable service dog teaching skills are invited to apply for a class that will start January 16, 2016. Participants will learn to train a dog while raising a dog under close supervision. Once trained and certified, the dog will be granted to individuals in need who have provided extraordinary service to the community, such as military veterans and wounded first responders. The curriculum includes both didactic as well as hands-on skills training.
